Aah, the smell of freshly ground coffee, and yet we’re surrounded by the fumes from heavy traffic on busy Torstraße in Mitte.
Yesterday Bicycle Coffee from San Francisco arranged a coffee tasting right on the sidewalk, outside the Mission Workshop popup store. Bicycle Coffee is a small, family run business from San Francisco. They roast organic and fair-trade Arabica beans and deliver their bags to offices, grocery stores, cafés and hotels by bike.
Right now they’re in Berlin, so coffee craving Berliners can get a taste of their hand-picked beans. And the coffee’s really great. Usually I prefer to have my coffee with milk, but this mug of fresh brew would have been a shame to pour milk in. Despite the amount of coffee that went into the filter, the coffee was very easy to drink. Even so, you’ll probably feel the caffeine kick in after while. I know I did.
You can try the Bicycle Coffee every day until April 7 2012. Check the fact box for hours.
