Workers at Tegel Airport went on Strike

Around 200 ground workers at Berlin’s Tegel airport went on strike for three and a half hours this morning. They demand a four percent pay increase.

The strike affected about 30 flights, which had to be cancelled. The public sector union Verdi wanted to send a warning signal to the airport management that they need to compromise with the union, if they do not want a strike on a larger scale.
