A couple of years ago, Quentin Tarantino put Studio Babelsberg on the international film scene once again with the production of his Academy Award-winning “Inglorious Basterds”.
Babelsberg has managed to survive both the Nazi and communist regimes, and seen icons such as Marlene Dietrich and Alfred Hitchcock pass by. In recent years stars like Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman, Liam Neeson, and Tom Cruise have all made films at the studios, located a few kilometers south of Berlin.
Studio Babelsberg celebrates its 100th birthday in February this year.
